Archived Posts CBS LOCAL 2 ANCHOR TOM TUCKER APPOINTED TO SOCAL COYOTES ADVISORY BOARD Posted on June 27, 2016 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr (INDIO) – CBS Local 2 Palm Springs morning anchor and esteemed broadcast journalist Tom Tucker – who co-anchored the station’s very first newscast when it went live in 2002 – has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the four-time champion SoCal Coyotes, the professional non-profit sports leadership organization announced. Tucker can be seen each weekday morning with co-anchor Jenifer Daniels from 5 to 7 a.m. The 20-year broadcast veteran is a distinguished Coachella Valley community servant who offers decades of desert acumen to the rapidly growing Coyotes, recently named America’s #1 Developmental Pro Football Program. Tucker is a board member for the Cathedral City Salvation Army, and attends The Bridge Calvary Chapel. Tucker joins a board that includes notables such as New York Jets heroes Mo Lewis and Marvin Jones, former Heisman winner Ricky Williams, and USC legend Brad Budde. Tucker has served in various on-air positions for mostly west coast ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX network television news affiliates. His newsroom positions have included serving as news director, main anchor, reporter, producer and photographer. Currently he co-anchors weekday morning newscasts, which include reporting assignments such as consumer advocacy, politics, economic issues, and general assignment reporting. Earlier in his career, Tucker delivered sales and business development training for Fortune 50 high tech companies, to audiences in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. His clients and employers have included Hewlett Packard, NetApp, technology re-sellers and Eastman Kodak, and Tucker has provided executive media training for corporate clients in Southern California, including SONY, Karl Strauss, and representatives with public utilities in Riverside County. A former Graduate Assistant Instructor for Dale Carnegie Training, and corporate trainer of Brian Tracy Learning Systems, Tucker’s other lifetime experience includes preparing bi-lingual Japanese college students for employment in Tokyo offices of multi-national corporations. A native of Anaheim, California, Tucker hails from a family of four sisters and three brothers. He and his wife Patti are parents to nine-year-old Sophia, and newborn Levi Thomas. Tucker graduated in 1988 from California State University, Fullerton with a BA in Business Administration, and a marketing concentration.
