SoCal Coyote News The Monroe Palm Springs Coyotes’ Vacation Destination Posted on July 30, 2013 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr (PALM SPRINGS) — No longer limited to sagebrush, mountains and open prairies around the desert, Coyotes are running loose in the heart of Palm Springs. That’s because The Monroe — formerly America’s Best Value Inn — is the new vacation destination for the desert champion SoCal Coyotes (www.themonroepalmsprings.com). The team announced today that it had reached a strategic partnership with The Monroe, providing vacation opportunities to visitors and fans from around the world. The Monroe is newly renovated, smoke-free, and features free wireless high-speed Internet access, coffeemakers, alarm clocks, lap top safes and private sitting areas in suites. Shaded by trees — a rare and beautiful desert distinction — The Monroe is located just blocks from downtown Palm Springs, and is minutes from world-class golf courses, spas, nightlife, casinos, celebrity entertainment, and amazing desert beauty for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers. “The Monroe is proud to support our desert champions,” said general manager Denise Detrano, a native New Yorker. “The Monroe and the Coyotes are both committed to continued growth and success in the Palm Springs community.” The Monroe is around the corner from the Arial Tramway and Spa Resort Casino. Restaurants within walking distance include Rick’s Restaurant, Billy Reeds, Rick’s Desert Grill and The Cowboy Way. “Coyote football in the Coachella Valley is synonymous with winning,” said team president and head coach J. David Miller. “The Monroe and Coyotes are combining passion for sports with a unique and memorable experience. “Palm Springs is one of the most unforgettable experiences in California, but so is our Run ‘n’ Shoot offense, and our Darkside Defense,” Coach Miller added. “Now, visitors to our great community may have them both.” The Coyotes open at their new home at Xavier College Preparatory on August 24, against the San Diego Spartans at 7 p.m. It is their first game as a member of the UFAL Eastern Division of the Southern California Football Alliance (SCFA). The SCFA is the only means for a desert team to win a state or national championship.
