O-LINE UPGRADE CONTINUES AS COYOTES SIGN ARENA VETERAN DANTE MOSES, 6-3, 325

(INDIO) – The overhaul and upgrade of the SoCal Coyotes offensive line continued today with the signing of Arena Football League veteran road-grader Dante Moses 6-3, 325, the professional non-profit sports leadership organization announced today.

DANTE MOSESframed300Moses, who played professionally in Colorado and Las Vegas, “will have an immediate impact,” said Marvin Jones, Coyotes director of player personnel. Moses joins other Arena veteran and newcomer Raphael Smiley, 6-5, 320, on a vastly improved Coyote offensive line.

Moses is expected to pave the way for a Coyote ground attack that will feature rookie All-American running back Dylan Peebles. The defending LCFL champion Coyotes went 11-1 last fall, and are preparing for their first fall season in the vaunted Southern California Football League, home to four of the country’s top 10 teams.

Moses majored in sports medicine at Adams State, where he was an All-Conference guard and tackle and anchored a line that produced the best statistical season in school history.

Prior to Adams State, Moses was an All-Conference selection at Pasadena Junior College. The son of Beverly Moses, Dante was an all-conference and all-region prep star in high school.

Jones, who will coach in both NFL and Coyote training camps this summer, said more offensive line signings are imminent.

Moses reports to the Coyotes July 28, where he joins an incoming rookie class expected to rival any in franchise history. Team President Don West Jr. executed his contract this morning, and Athletic Director Sean Tully confirmed his enrollment in the team’s Head of Household Work Leadership (HOWL) Program.

Moses will complete his orientation and medical intake with Director of Operations Cinthia Paiz today. The Coyotes open at home at Shadow Hills August 13, against the Central Coast Seminoles of Oxnard.

ON THE FIELD, 70 PLAYERS EACH YEAR earn the distinction of ‘Defending the Shield’ in the uniform of the SoCal Coyotes. Many will earn a shot with NFL, CFL or AFL opportunities, or graduate into business careers. Off the field, more than 30,000 Coachella Valley youth annually participate in Coyote Leadership Training and receive published Coyote Leadership Curriculum.

THE SOCAL COYOTES affect every community they touch. Coyote programs reach thousands of youth through coordinated efforts with numerous local charitable and civic organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs, the YMCA, the Desert Strength Academy, the Boys & Girl Scouts of America, and Rotary International.
