SoCal Coyote News Wild West Playoff Picture Clears Posted on March 6, 2013 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr (LAS VEGAS) — Logic prevailed today in the offices of the Wild West Football League, as the Cobras forfeited this Saturday’s game against the SoCal Coyotes because win or lose, it had no bearing on the upcoming playoff picture. The Cobras will play the Rush next week, because the two teams need a head-to-head tiebreaker to determine their playoff seeding. The Coyotes are scheduled to play the Silvercats Saturday, March 16, but the ‘Cats may opt to forfeit that game as well, because, again, it has no bearing on the playoff picture. All playoffs and WWFL championship will be held at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. The playoffs are now seeded as follows: (1) Trojans; (2) Coyotes; (3) and (4) either the Cobras or Rush, depending on the outcome of their game March 16; (5) Silvercats. Saturday, March 23, the Trojans will receive a bye; at UNLV, the Coyotes will play the Number 3 seed; and the number 4 seed will play the number 5 seed. Saturday, March 30, the top-ranked Trojans will play the winner of the number 4 and number 5. The winner of number 2 versus number 3 will have a bye. Saturday, April 6, the final two teams will meet for the title. The SoCal Coyotes are now 9-2 on the year. In two seasons, the team has lost just four games, including a last-second loss in last year’s national championship.
