PLAYER ORIENTATION: COYOTES’ FAITH, FAMILY FOOTBALL IS A ‘LIFESTYLE, NOT A BUMPER STICKER’

(INDIO) – Staff physicians and trainers of the perennial champion SoCal Coyotes completed physicals at their Shadow Hills Training Complex Thursday – and next up Friday is Player Orientation to what may be the highest conduct and compliance requirements in the nation for those vying to play for America’s #1 Developmental Program™.

The Coyotes administration and players will return Friday at 5:55 p.m. for three hours of orientation, disbursement of practice uniforms, and fitting of equipment.

2017 Coyote players can expect thorough, non-negotiable, vetting and explanation of every single word of every single paragraph and page of every single prospect’s Standard Player Contract, Social Media Policy, Code of Conduct, National Anthem Policy, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Player Film and Scouting Guidelines and Distribution.

Also thoroughly explained will be the team’s host of supplemental programs and offerings, including the Coyotes Head of Household Work Leadership Program (HOWL), which has found gainful employment for a half-dozen players in the past month alone.

Any prospect who chooses not to comply or disagrees with the steep Coyotes Standard Corporate Operating Procedures will be given the immediate opportunity to withdraw from the program and resign their position, and encouraged to pursue their careers elsewhere. Dozens of Coyote prospects wait in line to fill roster spots should a current player opt-out of his participation and vacate his roster spot.

Prospects come from around the nation for the privilege of participation in the SoCal Coyotes faith-based process that ‘Builds Champions, Builds Men™.’ The organization describes their process as a “conveyor belt to manhood,” with more than 400 players now having graduated through their ranks.

The Coyotes have a waiting list of prospects. Under rules of the Pacific Coast Division of The World Developmental Football League, which has 32 teams in six countries, rosters – like the NFL – are open, meaning a player may be released and replaced at any time. All teams are free to constantly improve or upgrade their talent pool at any time, though the Coyotes historically – and loyally – stay with their selections through complete seasons.

For orientation, the Coyotes have issued this statement:

“For the SoCal Coyotes, Faith, Family, Football is not a bumper sticker, but a lifestyle choice. Our real championships begin here, the night before our first practice of each season. They are neither measured in wins or losses, nor tallied on scoreboards. It starts now in the hearts, minds and souls of all of our participants. The expectations and standards of incoming SoCal Coyotes are extraordinarily high and crystal clear, as are the rewards and opportunities we afford.

“No living human being is a hostage of the SoCal Coyotes organization. You are free to stay, or go. To stay, however, requires everyone in the Coyote organization embrace this fiercely structured environment of your own free will. It lovingly encourages you to begin to pray and adjust and adapt to a successfully proven ‘Above the Line’ culture.

“We believe in the actual freedom of unilateral surrender and obedience to God, and principled personal, mental and emotional discipline as outlined in the Scriptures, specifically the Book of Colossians.

“Our ‘Above the Line’ expectations and beliefs are openly declared on our website (www.thesocalcoyotes.com) and may be read and absorbed in great detail under the tabs ‘Who We Are,’ ‘What We Do,’ ‘What We Believe’ and ‘Building Champions, Building Men™.’

“We have never once seen a young man’s life ruined by praying more or becoming more aligned with his Creator. We believe in the constant building and reinforcement of positive behavior that makes a man honorable in the eyes of his Creator; employable by the highest standards of his community; a reliable father in the eyes of his children; a loving son in the eyes of his parents; a dependable man in the eyes of his spouse and/or significant other; and a totally unselfish and caring teammate in the hearts of his peers.

“The Coyotes are firm on their positions and insist each prospect vividly and explicitly understand up front these extraordinary expectations. You are required to be a selfless servant-leader, on and off the field and in the classrooms of our community’s youth. Those with inflated or unmanageable egos or self-aggrandizing entitlement may wish to opt-out immediately and step aside for another prospect in waiting, and find a different organization with far lesser restrictions.

“To be a SoCal Coyote is a privilege, and an honor, not a right. However, each player who has earned a shot here through tryouts, past performance or selection by our scouting staff will enjoy every amenity and opportunity afforded each surviving member of America’s #1 Developmental Football Organization™, which advances more players to AFL, CFL and NFL opportunities than any program in the nation.

“In turn, our talented, passionate and nurturing staff of professionals promise to work for you tirelessly and sefllessly in your personal development, as you grow into a Better Father, Better Husband, and Better Man™.”

Two-a-days begin Saturday, August 12, from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Coyotes anchor the Pacific Coast Division of the World Developmental Football League (WDFL).

The Coyotes open play September 2 at their Shadow Hills home against the California Sharks at 7 p.m. All Coyote games are broadcast live on ESPN 103.9FM.
