(LOS ANGELES) — Owners and representatives of the top developmental organizations in 10 major markets – including five of the nation’s top-ranked teams – met behind closed doors today as the Southern California Football League finalized plans for this August’s launch.

game on400Teams include the Inglewood Blackhawks, California Raiders, SoCal Coyotes, Vegas Trojans, Arizona Ducks, Vegas Hawks, California Seahawks, Central Coast Seminoles, San Diego Mustangs, and SoCal Eagles.

Official announcements are forthcoming, but SCFL members drew schedules, agreed upon standard codes of conduct, player contracts, uniform compliance, game officials, and more.

Schedules were randomly drawn from a hat, lottery style. The four-time champion SoCal Coyotes will host games against the six-time champion California Raiders, six-time champion Vegas Trojans, and seven-time champion Inglewood Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks, Raiders, Trojans and Coyotes have all played for national titles, collectively winning six. The four teams represent a combined four decades of experience, with an average winning percentage of .882.

ON THE FIELD, 70 PLAYERS EACH YEAR earn the distinction of ā€˜Defending the Shield’ in the uniform of the SoCal Coyotes. Many will earn a shot with NFL, CFL or AFL opportunities, or graduate into business careers. Off the field, more than 30,000 Coachella Valley youth annually participate in Coyote Leadership Training and receive published Coyote Leadership Curriculum.

THE SOCAL COYOTES affect every community they touch. Coyote programs reach thousands of youth through coordinated efforts with numerous local charitable and civic organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs, the YMCA, the Desert Strength Academy, the Boys & Girl Scouts of America, and Rotary International.
