PACK ATTACKS COYOTES, PALM DESERT ROTARY DISTRIBUTE DICTIONARIES TO EAST VALLEY THIRD-GRADERS Posted on October 30, 2015 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr (COACHELLA VALLEY) – A dictionary is a book you will use your whole life – and each year, the Palm Desert Rotary ensures that scores of Coachella Valley third-grade students take home their own. Thursday, the three-time champion SoCal Coyotes – whose team executives are also members of the Palm Desert Rotary – joined the humanitarian organization in its annual distribution of dictionaries to students at Mecca Elementary and Saul Martinez Elementary. The Coyotes – recently named America’s #1 Developmental Pro Football Program – gave away more than just dictionaries. The playoff-bound Coyotes included free tickets to every child and their families in the East Valley schools. Each Coyote classroom presentation was led by second-year standout defensive back John Paiz, and AAA Hall of Fame head coach J David Miller. Coyote presentations address these topics – -Readers are Leaders; -Make Your Next Move Your Best Move; -Show Me Your Friends, I’ll Show You Your Future; -If It’s to Be, It’s Up to Me; -I Am A Champion. The Palm Desert Rotary is a leading chapter of Rotary International, an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary’s Motto for over 100 years is “Service Above Self” – values espoused by the SoCal Coyotes. The Coyotes, whose own leadership clinics and outreach reach 30,000 students a year, heavily support the Palm Desert Rotary’s community-building initiatives. Weekly meetings of the Palm Desert Rotary are each Tuesday at 12pm, at Desert Falls Country Club.
