SoCal Coyote News COYOTES HOST INLAND EMPIRE RONALD McDONALD HOUSE KICKOFF CLASSIC Posted on July 29, 2018 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr (INDIO) – The SoCal Coyotes and Bulldogs of San Diego will face off September 8 in the first-ever Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House Kickoff Classic at Shadow Hills Stadium, with all proceeds from the regular-season clash donated to the charity. Both teams will don the famous Ronald McDonald red-and-white striped, ‘smile-maker’ socks to show their support. The Coyotes will make ‘donation stations’ available to fans who wish to contribute to the cause. The Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House provides a ‘home away from home’ to families, while their children receive medical treatment at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, or other nearby hospitals. Coyotes head coach J David Miller, who founded his team’s non-profit, was visibly moved after a recent visit to the facility. “Children are near to God’s heart,” Coach Miller said. “The Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House offers hope to the hurting and broken-hearted. Once you witness their message of love, you’ll never forget it.” Demand is overwhelming. In the past year, 982 families stayed at the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House during their time of need. Their volunteers logged more than 7,000 hours of service in support of their mission. An additional 916 families were placed in a hotel while the House was expanded. The September 8 game is a regular-season matchup for both Developmental Football International squads, and will count in league standings. For the five-time champion Coyotes, it will be their first home game of the 2018 season.
