PACK ATTACKS BASEBALL BUDDIES PALM DESERT – JOIN “THE GENERAL” AND COYOTES MARCH 11 Posted on February 23, 2017 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr (PALM DESERT) – Bring the family and join the perennial champion SoCal Coyotes on the diamond at Freedom Park March 11 for another season with Baseball Buddies Palm Desert – a unique baseball program for children with physical and/or emotional challenges. “The General” Coyote mascot – from corporate partner General Air Conditioning & Plumbing – will throw out the season’s pitch. Linebacker Gary Young will lead a covey of Coyotes, along with Hall of Fame head coach J David Miller. They will join other volunteers from around the desert to pair with young players throughout the game. Players and their ‘buddies’ are able to bat, run the bases, pitch, and most importantly – be a part of a team. “This program touches their lives in ways you can’t imagine,” says founder Lisa Manning, whose son, Conrad, started the program in 2007 so his special-needs brother could have a team experience. “Watching self-confidence blossom in these children is incredibly rewarding.” For more information, or to volunteer as a Baseball Buddy, call 760.321.2681, or visit Baseball Buddies Palm Desert Ca on Facebook.
